Book 2
Still unaware where you might be you gather your things along with your new friend and head off into the forest. Trying to keep on the path that looks worn in hopes it leads to civilization you grow tired, hungry and parched. Your little friend sleeping on your shoulder peeks up, jumps off, and runs off. You take after it running. It seems it was also thirsty because it has lead you to a beautiful waterfall that runs into a large pond swarming with fish.
Throwing your self onto your knees you scoop up the water toward your mouth as quickly as you can. The cooling fresh water fills your mouth and down your throat. You sigh with relief as your little friend comes up with a branch in it's mouth.
The branch has huge red and blue berries on it. This is a life saver you think to your self. You and your friend sit down and eat the berries together when you both hear something coming from the forest behind you!
Out from the thick bushes comes a small boy with a fishing rod in his hands. You jump up to greet the boy, so over joyed that there are other humans on this land. Walking up to him he stops, looks up at you and smiles widely. He looks at your little friend and frowns, points and asks you
"What in the world are you doing with the likes of THAT?"
you say proudly "That as you say is my friend, if it wasn't here for me I might have never found water or food."
laughing now "Hahaa I am sure it is just trying to fatten you up to eat you, those are pure evil and maybe the worst type of animal to befriend in this whole forest. You aren't from around here so you better wise up!"
He points over to the path he came from "Take that path there and keep walking for ten minutes, that is where the village is. But don't even think for a second that they will be happy to meet your "friend" there."
You gather your belongings and your friend and head toward the village...
