Book 1

Waking up on a sandy beach, opening eyes to see blaring sunshine and birds overhead. Realizing that this a strange and new place you throw your self up, dust your self off and survey the area. You are facing toward the water and see nothing but ocean, turning around to see lush colorful forest teaming with movement.
Still confounded to where you are you search the beach for signs of intelligence. Finally! A path through the forest, so you take it. After walking for what seems like forever you come to an opening filled with strange statues. Birds, canines, fish, insects, and animals that you have never seen before.
All around the statues you see broken egg shells and nests that have been torn apart. Examining them further you spot a nest intact! There is the strangest egg that you have ever seen laying inside the nest. Picking it up you decide to keep it to save it. You place it inside your knapsack so it doesn't break.
It is getting dark and you need to start looking for wood for a fire and dry ground to sleep on. You find a quiet area with soft moss to sleep on, now for the wood. You place all of your belongings onto the moss and head out to search. Arms filled with twigs and branches you head back to your spot, something, someone has been in your bags! All you can think about is that poor egg you found, so the twigs and branches go flying in the air as you dive to check the egg you so carefully placed in your knapsack. GONE! The poor thing is gone! You look around to see if it just rolled out and there you see the egg shell smashed. Dropping to your knees you pick up the tiny shell.
It is now very late, you still do not know where you are, you don't have a fire going, and now this tiny life is gone. The stress is getting to you, but you shake it off and get your fire going. You could hardly sleep, so many noises going on in the forest not to mention your mind racing all night. You roll over to look up at the sky through the leafs and hear a loud "Squeak!". You throw your self up aquardly so as not to crush the animal again. The creature looks up at you with it's beaming eyes, it has the same patterns as the egg did. The creature grabs your finger and starts rubbing it's face on it. It is so cute and happy you figure you can keep it around for a while....
